In most of the world’s developing regions forests are under huge pressure. However, preserving forests is not the only solution. If managed properly, forests can also be turned into assets and become a driving force of rural development.

As a consultancy, we provide technical expertise to support development cooperation work. Through our work, we put forests and their management into the service of socio-economic development. We see forests in a wider context of agricultural development, the timber industry (cluster approach) and regional development promotion, without focusing exclusively on the narrow limits of any particular sector. To strengthen adaptation to climate change and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions we build on the vast experiences of UNIQUE’s Climate section.
